We put a flip-chart up for those who didn't want to go with the webby vote. And we've updated the vote totals to combine the offline and online votes...
A few comments that came in on the flip-chart as well:
YES
>But with young people on the board as well
NO
>It should be chaired by young people not a minister
NOT SURE
>It could be good, but it could end up being seen as the be all and end all on youth affairs...
Youth Board
There needs to be careful thought as to who sits on the board, who chairs it etc. Should it be chaired by a minister or a young person WITH (without)a minister? There also needs to be very clear lines of reporting and influence to make sure that young people's voices are heard directly by key decision makers. Great news!
i SAY NOOO but...... READ this
I say no because i feel it wouldnt be appreciated and it would be unreal to have government minister chairing a young people's board, this could influnce young peoples perception, instead of their ideas being unfiltered and ignored.... But... on the otherhaNd if young people were chairing the Board whilst being supported by adults the outcome of their meetings will be speacial and us as young people will feel much more importanT ANd feel as though we are assets to the our country.
